Services provided
NJCTS provides multi-disciplinary services at multiple locations throughout the state. Program activities include:
- Medical diagnosis and treatment
- Medication management
- Psychological services
- Referrals and cultivation of a qualified network of caregivers
- Coordinated patient care among partner and community organizations through out the state
- Education and training at medical schools and the Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology to develop a new generation of professionals knowledgeable about TS and associated disorders
- Educational training and information for physicians, educators and allied professionals
- Research into effectiveness of treatment modalities, addressing stigma and other issues important to people with TS
- A shared DNA cell repository available to qualified researchers world-wide to understand genetic factors that may lead to treatments and cures
